From March 29 will take place the exhibition commemorating the 22 years of the headquarters in Alfama, Lisbon, of Colectivo Multimédia Perve, association responsible for the artistic direction of Perve Galeria and Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny, institutions that host 20+2 - Dédalo em Alfama.
Recovering the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the association C. M. Perve, conditioned in 2020 due to the consecutive confinements and restrictions in the face of the Covid-19, 20+2 - Dédalo em Alfama marks the beginning of a new phase of freedom.
The exhibition, curated by Carlos Cabral Nunes, brings together unpublished artworks never exhibited in Portugal before, including the most recent acquisitions and incorporations of the Lusofonias collection, initiated in 2000 by C. M. Perve, with the aim of promoting the concept of Global Art, exhibiting reference artworks by some of the most representative authors from Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries (PALOPs), such as Mozambique, Cape Verde, Brazil, Macau, among others.

Taking place simultaneously in 2 exhibition centres, the Perve Galeria establishes a dialogue between artworks from the African and primitive Lusofonias collection, by authors such as Artur Bual, Albino Moura, Ernesto Shikhani, Figueiredo Sobral, Ídasse, João Ribeiro, Manuel Figueira, Teresa Balté, Pancho Guedes, among others, alongside with the new additions to the collection, some made in 2022, of which stand out the artworks by Bertina Lopes, Reinata Sadimba, Teresa Roza d'Oliveira, Malangatana, Alberto Chissano, António Quadros and João Donato.
Meanwhile, at the Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny the exhibition is dedicated to Portuguese surrealism and its multiple influences on the authors of the Lusofonias collection, which includes works by Carlos Calvet, Carlos Eurico da Costa, Cruzeiro Seixas, Francisco Relógio, Fernando Lemos, Figueiredo Sobral, Henrique Risques Pereira, Isabel Meyrelles, Mário Botas, Mário Cesariny, Raul Perez, among others.
The exhibition also includes a very important set of works and documents by Cruzeiro Seixas, from the estate of José Francisco Aranda (biographer of Luis Buñuel, married to the visual poet Salette Tavares), Manuel Rodriguez Mateo and Pedro Polo, recently bequeathed to the Casa da Liberdade - Mário Cesariny.
Given the imminent reality of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, 20+2 - Dédalo em Alfama presents an installation in homage to the Ukrainian people, especially to the women supporters of the resistance. The installation, curated by Carlos Cabral Nunes, establishes a relation between Serhiy Reznichenko's paintings of female bodies and the current reports, news and videos published in the media, simultaneously alerting to the risks and situations of great vulnerability that this gender may be subject to in the host countries.
Living in Lviv, Serhiy Reznichenko was first presented by Perve Galeria in 2006 as part of the exhibitions Acervo 06 and Encontro Periferias.
