Victor Pi (Lisbon, 1949) is a Portuguese visual artist, performer, and actor with a multidisciplinary career spanning more than five decades. His artistic practice revolves around a deep connection to nature, exploring organic materials and found elements such as earth, clay, stone, moss, lichen, wood, and vestiges of vernacular architecture, transforming them into works of strong poetic and spiritual dimension.
His artistic language is characterized by a simultaneously ecological and pantheistic vision, establishing a dialogue between artistic creation, memory, landscape, and territory. Inspired by his family roots in Bustelo da Lage, in the district of Viseu, Vítor Pi constructs a visual universe where natural matter assumes a central role, evoking the passage of time, ancestry, and the relationship between human beings and their surrounding environment. Alongside his artistic production, he has worked as an actor, performer, and workshop instructor in visual arts, contributing to the training of several generations of artists.
